Laponite is a unique clay-based gelling agent. It is a mixture of natural earth oxides that have been milled to a fine particle size.When added to warm water at a 3% to 4% concentration a stiff, a clear ringing gel is produced.

Laponite is a clear, non-tacky gel made only from natural minerals, the same as found in clay. Like Amigel, it is excellent for a wide range of topical applications of essential oils and vegetable oils, holding up to 10% of additional ingredients and still have a stable, cream-like product.Laponite Gel is designed to be used as a stiff gel. It cannot be thinned down and then accept a large quantity of additional ingredients, as in the case with Amigel. It has an excellent skin feel when applied.
